How combat works

STAR WARS Zero Company is a single-player, turn-based tactics game. Each Operator normally begins a turn with three Action Points. Spend them on movement, attacks, Call for Backup, Overwatch, Rally, and special abilities.

The tactical fundamentals

  • Positioning: Plan movement around the battlefield and the mission objective.
  • Cover: Use available cover when choosing where an Operator ends a turn.
  • Overwatch: Set up a response to enemy movement when the situation allows it.
  • Rally: Use the action when a squad member needs support.
  • Advantage: Build and spend Advantage through the abilities available to your Operators.

The exact Action Point cost of every ability is To be confirmed until a current in-game reference is available.

Mission objectives

Winning a fight is not the only consideration. Read the objective, keep the squad positioned for the next turn, and reserve enough Action Points for movement or support when the mission demands it.
