Learn the star wars zero company tel rea recruitment route through Dark Waters, Smuggler's Den, Vinsar Materials, and the final Den conversation.

The direct answer

To recruit Tel-Rea, progress beyond the first meeting in Dark Waters and complete Smuggler’s Den. The route sends the squad to the Three Tower District, through the service entrance of the abandoned Vinsar Materials warehouse, and into a second fight after the first interior wave. After the battle-droid shipment is exposed, return to The Den and finish Tel-Rea’s conversation with Hawks.

The important checkpoint is the conversation after Smuggler’s Den. Dark Waters introduces Tel-Rea and gives Hawks a chance to ask for her help, yet she declines while she is still pursuing her own work. Tel-Rea joins Zero Company only after the warehouse operation and the later conversation about her master Hadrix.

Start with Dark Waters

Dark Waters is the first meeting with Tel-Rea in the campaign route. She is a Jedi contact working on the Shadow Plague, and Hawks asks her to work with Zero Company. Tel-Rea does not join at that point because she has not finished the investigation that brought her into the story.

Do not keep repeating the first conversation if the recruitment flag has not changed. The next requirement is in the Cortilius story and points toward Smuggler’s Den. One entry spells the planet as Cortilius, while another uses Courtsilius, so the location spelling is To be confirmed.

The route is story progression, not a hidden character menu. You do not need to find a special recruitment option inside the first Dark Waters dialogue. Continue the available campaign missions until Smuggler’s Den appears, then follow the warehouse objective instead of returning to the earlier canal area.

Reach the Vinsar Materials service entrance

Smuggler’s Den begins with Tel-Rea tracing the Slugrats’ distribution network to Vinsar Materials. The target is an abandoned industrial facility in the Three Tower District, and the current walkthrough directs the player toward a service entrance. Following the marked route is more reliable than searching the main warehouse frontage for a separate interaction.

The service entrance is guarded by Slugrats. Clear the exterior group, then continue through the service route into Vinsar Materials. The operation is designed to keep moving inward, so an empty first area does not mean that every part of the mission has been completed.

The walkthrough describes the facility as having been condemned for 12,140 rotations. Freight is still moving through the warehouse despite that status, which is the clue that the site supports a larger operation. The exact rotation figure comes from one mission walkthrough and should be treated as To be confirmed if the current game displays a different value.

Finish the warehouse battle

The first interior fight is only the beginning of the operation. More Infinite Coil forces enter after the initial group is cleared, and the later wave includes a Destroyer Droid. If the mission objective has not updated, stay ready and keep the squad positioned for another encounter.

This is where many failed recruitment attempts can come from. A player may clear the first room, assume the mission is finished, and start searching for an interaction that has not unlocked. Smuggler’s Den continues until the later resistance is dealt with and the team can investigate what the warehouse is hiding.

The discovery is a shipment of thousands of battle droids staged on the planet. The shipment is connected to a planned Separatist invasion and explains why the Infinite Coil needed a large abandoned distribution site. Exposing the shipment is the mission progression point that leads into Tel-Rea’s recruitment scene.

The exact quantity is described as thousands, not as a precise count. Do not replace that description with a made-up number. If a current in-game screen provides a more specific figure, that value can be added after verification.

Return to The Den

After the warehouse is secured, return to The Den and continue Tel-Rea’s conversation with Hawks. Tel-Rea explains why she has not gone back to the Jedi Order. Her master Hadrix recognized that the Shadow Plague was more than an ordinary disease and later died from it, leaving Tel-Rea to continue the work alone.

Hawks offers her another path. Tel-Rea can stop hunting Fathom by herself and work with Zero Company instead. The current route places the agreement at this point, after the mission has exposed the battle-droid shipment and after the conversation about Hadrix has played out.

There is no extra recruitment menu in the route. You do not need to replay Dark Waters for a special dialogue choice, and you do not need to revisit Takali Canal once the later story step is available. Complete the Den conversation and Tel-Rea becomes part of the normal roster.

What Tel-Rea adds to the squad

Tel-Rea is a Jedi Padawan with an exotic Jedi class. Her abilities include Force Push, which can move an enemy out of cover and may place that enemy into a friendly Overwatch zone, and Force Pull, which is also named in the achievements. Her exact damage, range, and Action Point costs are To be confirmed.

Her class is tied to her character identity. A custom Jedi recruit cannot replace her, and losing Tel-Rea under active permadeath removes the Jedi Padawan option for that campaign. The exact campaign behavior is To be confirmed if the live build handles the slot differently.

Tel-Rea is also part of the larger Bond and story system. She is an authored companion with conversations and a defined history, while the player can still manage her weapon, class progression, and place in a four-Operator mission squad. A respec may change her standard combat choices, yet the identity-linked exotic ability remains a central part of the character description.

Recruitment checklist

Meet Tel-Rea in Dark Waters, continue the Cortilius or Courtsilius storyline, enter Vinsar Materials through the service entrance, clear the later Infinite Coil wave, expose the battle-droid shipment, and return to The Den. Finish the Hadrix conversation with Hawks, then check the roster. That is the complete recruitment sequence.

If Tel-Rea has not joined, check the mission objective before searching for another interaction. The most likely missing step is the later warehouse wave or the Den conversation after the mission. Name spelling, exact dialogue wording, and any changes in a later build are To be confirmed.
