star wars zero company sharpshooter specialization guide
Learn the star wars zero company sharpshooter specialization role, Zero In, Precision Shot, Overwatch, accuracy, Critical Chance, and Longarm builds.
What is the Sharpshooter specialization
Sharpshooter is the long range precision Specialization in STAR WARS Zero Company. It rewards a protected firing position, stable line of sight, and careful target selection. Choose it when the squad can keep an Operator in place long enough to turn accuracy and Critical pressure into a clean single target finish.
Sharpshooter is one of eight standard Specializations. Its kit uses one Ultimate, one Standard ability, and two Passives. Its long range identity and named abilities are clear, while exact accuracy bonuses, Critical values, and use limits remain To be confirmed.
Sharpshooter ability kit
Sharpshooter Training is the baseline accuracy Passive. It improves blaster hit reliability, and one rank listing shows a 10 percent hit bonus. That number should remain To be confirmed until the current rank card confirms it.
Zero In is the Standard ability. It creates Lethal stacks that improve accuracy and Critical Chance, with movement or displacement breaking the setup. The action is strongest when the Operator can stay in the same firing lane and the rest of the squad can protect that position.
Precision Shot is the Sharpshooter Ultimate. It is a calculated blaster shot that always hits. One listed rank uses a large Advantage cost and a use limit, while the final cost, Critical Damage rule, and per battle limit are To be confirmed.
Pick Them Off is a Passive connected to Overwatch chance and damage. Its complete rank table is not settled in the game. Treat it as a reason to consider Overwatch positioning rather than as a fixed percentage.
How to play Sharpshooter
Find the firing position before using Zero In. The setup loses value if the Operator has to move, is displaced, or cannot see the priority target on the next turn. A stable lane with cover nearby lets Sharpshooter keep the stacks and use the accuracy advantage more than once.
Use Scoundrel to create the target that Sharpshooter wants. Identify Weakness applies Vulnerable so the next attack can become a Critical hit, creating a direct Scoundrel plus Sharpshooter synergy. The two Operators should be positioned so the setup action leaves enough Action Points for the shot.
Precision Shot gives Sharpshooter a way to handle a difficult hit chance. It spends shared Advantage, so the squad must choose between a reliable shot and another class Ultimate. Save it for a target where missing would change the mission, especially when the target cannot be safely attacked a second time.
Overwatch rewards planning rather than movement. Pick a lane that enemies must cross, place the Sharpshooter where the response is difficult, and let Scout or Scoundrel improve the information and target quality first. The exact Overwatch interaction with every status is To be confirmed.
Operators and pairings
Luco Bronc has a build using Sharpshooter as the Primary Specialization, Scoundrel as the Secondary Specialization, and a Longarm. Zero In and Identify Weakness create the Critical setup, while his Combat Gas Talent strengthens later attacks. The build becomes less useful on maps with restricted long range access or heavy verticality demands.
Hawks is also associated with a Sharpshooter and Scoundrel recommendation. Zero In gives him a precision setup, Identify Weakness prepares a target, and Fearless Leader supplies his authored identity layer. Hawks is required on story missions, so this direction can fill the long range role without removing him from the campaign roster.
Scout helps Sharpshooter by scanning the area and applying Spotted after a blaster hit. Combat Recon can reveal hidden enemies and generate Advantage, while Spotter removes some distance and smoke penalties in the ability description. The remaining cover and line of sight checks still matter.
Medic can use Combat Stim on a Sharpshooter when the damage bonus is worth the Action Point. Medic plus Gunslinger is a named pairing, and the buff can also support other damage roles. The final interaction and duration are To be confirmed.
Weapon and build choices
Longarm is the weapon associated with the Luco and Hawks recommendations. One build uses two Action Points and high Critical Damage for Longarm, while the exact weapon table is still under review. Use that direction as a build starting point, not a complete stat block.
Weapon Class is independent from Specialization in the broader class overview. Sharpshooter can therefore be combined with another weapon type, and a second Specialization can change the role of the same Operator later. The practical choice is the weapon that gives the intended firing lane without creating an Action Point problem.
Talents sit beside both choices. Authored Operators keep their fixed Talents through standard-class respec, while custom Operators choose Universal Talents. A custom Sharpshooter can take a direct combat Talent or trade that slot for Espionage or Thievery, which produce campaign resources and do not stack with each other.
Sharpshooter compared with other ranged roles
Gunslinger wants repeated pistol attacks and kill chains. Sharpshooter wants a stable line, accuracy, Overwatch, and a precise target. Soldier can use blasters, grenades, melee, and rockets across more situations, so it gives up the focused long range setup for flexibility.
Sharpshooter also depends more on the map. A broad firing lane can make Zero In and Precision Shot valuable, while a cramped map or a constant movement objective can break the setup. Read the mission space before choosing the class for a custom Operator.
What remains To be confirmed
Final Sharpshooter Training values, Zero In stack limits, Pick Them Off progression, and Precision Shot’s exact Advantage cost and use limit are To be confirmed. Hit, Critical, and damage values are also To be confirmed until the current build supplies the final cards.
Sharpshooter’s practical answer is simple. Protect a firing position, prepare one target, and spend Precision Shot when reliability matters more than saving Advantage. Exact rank ceilings, weapon modifiers, and the complete Overwatch table remain To be confirmed.
